Haaland scores again as Man City maintains perfect start to the Premier League season

Manchester City continues its perfect start to the Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over Coventry, driven by a goal from Erling Haaland. The team is adjusting to new manager Enzo Maresca following a period of significant squad investment.
Why it matters
Manchester City's performance is a major indicator of the competitive landscape in the world's most popular football league.
MANCHESTER, England -- A new-look Manchester City. Same old Erling Haaland .
The Norway striker scored his third goal of the season as City extended its 100% start by beating Coventry 1-0 to stay at the top of the Premier League on Saturday.
City has spent more than $600 million revamping its squad under new manager Enzo Maresca, but Haaland remains its prize asset.
His 26th-minute header at the Etihad Stadium provided the decisive moment against newly promoted Coventry and maintained Maresca's perfect start since taking on the daunting task of following in Pep Guardiola’s footsteps.
Maresca's job will be made a lot easier if Haaland can maintain his scoring form, with the forward hitting his third goal in two games.
