In a post in Hindi on X , Mr. Gandhi said, “Gyanesh Kumar will go. This government will go. Then the repair of democracy will begin.” He also tagged, on X , a video clip of his speech to INDIA bloc MPs at the Central Hall of Parliament.

Mr. Gandhi had, on Friday (October 9, 2026), said there was a “much deeper problem” than CEC Kumar, and that it required the termination of the current government, asserting that if the Opposition continued to push the way it had over the past few days, the government would fall.
