The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has received ‘Operation Clean Sweep’ award under the State government’s flagship ‘Swarna Andhra – Swachh Andhra’ programme.

GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg received the award from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the 18th ‘Swarna Andhra - Swachh Andhra’ programme held on Saturday in Gudivada of Krishna District. GVMC received the award in recognition of its outstanding performance in the category of cities with a population between 3 lakh and 10 lakh.
