GVMC deploys ‘BT Pothole Doctor’ machine for road repairs
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has introduced an advanced 'BT Pothole Doctor' machine to accelerate road maintenance across the city. The machine, which cost ₹1.30 crore, can repair up to 300 square metres of road daily with each pothole taking only 10 to 15 minutes to fix.

District Collector and GVMC Special Officer Abhishikth Kishore, along with GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, witnessed the operation of the ‘BT Pothole Doctor’ machine near CARE Hospital in the GVMC South Zone on Monday.
Officials demonstrated the functioning of the machine, including the process of cleaning potholes, filling them with the required bituminous mixture and completing the patchwork effectively.
The District Collector inspected the repaired stretch and enquired about the quality of the work, time required for repairs, operation and maintenance of the machine and other related aspects.
