A foreign national woman passenger from Guyana, who had arrived at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) from London, was found unconscious in a room at the transit hotel in the airport’s Terminal 2 on Wednesday (September 16) and was later declared dead at a city hospital.

The deceased was identified as Racquel Olivia Chandni Seecharran, a Guyanese national. She had arrived from London on a Virgin Atlantic flight at around 6.10 p.m. on Tuesday (September 15) and was scheduled to travel to Mangaluru by an IndiGo flight at 2.35 p.m. on Wednesday (September 16).

According to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which guards KIA, at around 10.30 a.m., as her scheduled hotel check-out time approached, the receptionist tried contacting her over the phone. However, she neither answered the call nor responded.
