Gurgaon woman biker hit-and-run: Accused will be arrested soon, say cops

GURGAON: Gurgaon Police on Monday took suo motu cognisance of a viral video showing a car allegedly following and hitting a woman biker and said the accused would be identified and arrested at the earliest in accordance with the law.Police are registering a case against the car driver under relevant sections at Sector 56 police station, officials said."The accused will be identified and will be arrested at the earliest and strictest legal action will be taken against all those found involved," police said.The development comes after a woman biker, who identified herself as Sia, shared a video on Instagram alleging that a car repeatedly followed her while she was riding with friends from Golf Course Road towards Bikerburns on Sunday.According to Sia, the driver allegedly asked her to stop and continued following her despite her asking him to maintain distance.
