GURGAON: A mahapanchayat was called in support of hit-and-run accused Kalyan Singh Bainsla on Friday, days after a video of the incident on Golf Course Road went viral.Reacting to the support, Gurgaon hit-and-run victim Sia, whose real name is Shivani Chauhan, said the event was an attempt to “change the narrative” around the incident.“I don't understand this at all. Whatever is being done is just to change the narrative. It is not about the community, where they belong or the state. Something wrong happened to me on the road, and it can happen to anyone,” Sia said.She said the incident was not about gender or community.“It is not about a female or male rider. Anyone can lose their life. We are taking a stand so that such incidents can be prevented in the future.
