Gurgaon engineer stabs girlfriend to death, kills self by jumping in front of train

GURGAON: An AI engineer allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death inside his PG accommodation in Gurgaon before dying by suicide by jumping in front of a train, police said on Sunday.Both, aged 25, were employed with the same private company in Gurgaon. The man was staying in a PG accommodation in Sector 55.The incident came to light after the woman's family approached the Sector 56 police station on Saturday when they were unable to contact her.Acting on the complaint, police tracked her mobile phone's location to the man's PG accommodation in Sector 55. After neighbours told them they were unaware of any unusual activity, police opened the room and discovered the woman's body.Police found her lying in a pool of blood inside the room, with blood splattered across the premises. Preliminary investigation suggested she had been stabbed to death.
