Gunmen kidnap 60-year-old headmaster in Oyo, demand ‘N30m’ ransom
A headmaster in Oyo state, Nigeria, has been kidnapped by gunmen who are demanding a ransom of N30 million. This incident follows a recent government-led rescue of 44 other abducted individuals in the same region.

Gunmen have abducted Kolawale Mathew Owoade, a 60-year-old farmer and headmaster of Nomadic Basic School in Itesiwaju LGA of Oyo state.
Olayinka Ayanlade, spokesperson for the Oyo state police command, confirmed the incident to TheCable on Monday.
He said incident occurred on Saturday evening while Owoade was returning from his farm in Budo Aare.
According to Punch, Abiola Owoade, the victim’s son, said the abductors contacted the family shortly after the incident using his father’s mobile phone to demand N30 million for his release.
