Gunmen Invade Kogi School During NECO Exam, Abduct Four Students, Principal, Exams Officer
Gunmen abducted four students, a principal, and an exam official from a school in Kogi State, Nigeria, during a NECO examination. Security forces have launched a rescue operation, successfully recovering one student so far.

Terrorists suspected to be bandits on Tuesday invaded the Government Secondary School, Odo-Ekina, in the Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, abducting four students, the school principal and a National Examinations Council (NECO) ad hoc staff member while students were sitting for the ongoing NECO examination.
Following the attack, a combined team of police officers and other security agencies launched a search-and-rescue operation to track down the kidnappers and secure the release of the victims.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, disclosed that one of the abducted students had been rescued during ongoing security operations.
She added that efforts were being intensified to rescue the remaining victims unharmed and ensure the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the attack.
