The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has framed guidelines enabling public and private institutions and individuals to sponsor buses as part of efforts to improve connectivity in rural areas and replace ageing vehicles of the public utility. As part of the scheme, local bodies, cooperative institutions, companies, trusts, social organisations, clubs, and business establishments can also donate buses using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
