GTA VI’s download will need up to 212GB of hard drive space
Rockstar Games has confirmed that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI will require up to 212GB of storage space on consoles. The game launches on November 19th and will be available primarily as a digital download, with physical copies containing only a code.
Why it matters
The massive file size highlights the increasing storage demands of modern AAA gaming and the industry's shift toward digital-only distribution models.
You’re going to need a lot of extra storage space on your console if you’re planning to play Grand Theft Auto VI later this month. Rockstar Games confirmed on Tuesday that the pre-load file will require up to 212GB “depending on your device.”
