GSTAT Benches inaugurated in Vijayawada, Vizag
The Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) has inaugurated new benches in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. These offices aim to expedite the resolution of tax-related disputes and improve access to justice for taxpayers in Andhra Pradesh.

The Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam Benches of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT)-Andhra Pradesh were inaugurated on Thursday.
On the occasion, GSTAT Vice-President and Member (Judicial) Vemireddy Bhaskar Reddy emphasised the tribunal’s commitment to rendering speedy, transparent and effective justice to the taxpayers, while ensuring uniformity and efficiency in the adjudication of GST appeals.
An official release said the inauguration of the Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam Benches and the commencement of hearings on the same day reflected the concerted efforts of the State GST Tribunal and the Central administrations in making the appellate mechanism fully operational.
The establishment of these Benches was expected to ensure expeditious disposal of GST appeals, improve access to justice for taxpayers across the State, reduce litigation, and further strengthen implementation of the GST regime.
