Greenply partners with GreenLine to deploy LNG-powered trucks for outbound logistics

Greenply Industries has partnered with GreenLine Mobility Solutions to utilize LNG-powered trucks for its outbound logistics. This initiative aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint by integrating sustainable transportation into its existing supply chain.
Why it matters
The shift toward LNG-powered heavy transport represents a growing trend in industrial decarbonization within India's logistics sector.
Greenply Industries Ltd has partnered with GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, an Essar Group company, to deploy LNG-powered trucks for its outbound logistics operations as part of its efforts to adopt more sustainable transportation solutions.
Under the partnership, Greenply will leverage GreenLine’s green logistics network to transport products from its Vadodara facility to destinations across its distribution network.
Sanidhya Mittal, Joint Managing Director, Greenply Industries Ltd, said sustainability extends beyond manufacturing operations to the movement of products and materials across the value chain.
“The introduction of LNG-powered trucks at our Vadodara facility is a first step towards exploring more responsible mobility solutions within our logistics operations,” Mittal said.
The company would continue to explore opportunities to adopt solutions that deliver savings while balancing environmental considerations with the efficiency and reliability of its supply chain, according to him.
