Greater Shepparton hosted the national launch of AUSactive's Million Moves campaign at Western Park on Tuesday 1 September, bringing the community together to begin the free 21-day movement challenge.

Greater Shepparton was selected to host the national launch, providing an opportunity to showcase the many facilities, programs and open spaces available locally to help residents and visitors stay active.

The event included a free Tai Chi session, with attendees encouraged to register for Million Moves and join the Aquamoves Team.

Million Moves runs until Monday 21 September 2026 and encourages people of all ages and abilities to move in a way that works for them. One minute of movement equals one move, with every move contributing to the team total.

Councillor Steven Threlfall, McEwen Ward, said it was fitting for Greater Shepparton to host the national launch.
