Greater Bengaluru Authority seeks demolition action plan for tilted wing of 18-storey building
The Greater Bengaluru Authority has ordered the developer of a tilted 18-storey apartment wing to submit a formal demolition plan. The authority has revoked the occupancy certificate for the affected wing while investigating the structural failure.

The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has directed SNN Raj Etternia to prepare an action plan for demolishing the 18-storey wing of an apartment complex in south Bengaluru’s Harlur built by them and obtain final approval.
The building had recently developed a tilt, prompting the developer to seek demolition permission from the GBA.
K.N. Ramesh, Commissioner of the Bengaluru South Corporation, clarified that the authority had conveyed to the builder that it had approved the demolition, but before taking up the exercise, the builder must submit a plan detailing the approach to be used for the demolition.
“They also need to obtain no-objection certificates from the pollution control board, RERA, and the Fire Department. This is necessary because there are other apartment complexes nearby whose safety has to be ensured,” he said.
