Graduates advised not to depend only on technology

Industry leaders from Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro advised engineering graduates to prioritize continuous learning, networking, and human intelligence over an over-reliance on technology. The speakers emphasized that career success is non-linear and requires ethical, proactive engagement.

K.M. Suceendran, head, Academic Alliances Group, Tata Consultancy Services, said continuous learning, responsible use of social media, networking and maintaining good health were important elements of a successful career.
Addressing the convocation of St. Joseph College of Engineering in Chennai on Saturday, he called upon the graduates to remain curious, listen carefully, build meaningful relationships, mentor younger students and contribute positively to society.
“Don’t depend only on technology; develop your own actual intelligence. Read, stay updated, meet people and remain curious,” he said.
