ISLAMABAD - Adviser to the Prime Minister (Federal Minister) for Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan has said that the government is taking comprehensive measures to accelerate industrialisation, revive sick industrial units, reduce the cost of doing business and ensure easier access to affordable financing for the private sector.
Addressing the business community at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Haroon Akhtar Khan said that the business community is the lifeline of the country and when industry and business thrive, Pakistan thrives. He emphasised that the private sector is the backbone of the national economy and that the government's role is to provide direction, policy support and an enabling environment for businesses to lead economic growth.
