Govt.’s ‘reckless decisions’ throwing Education Dept. into disarray, alleges Jagan

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister N. Lokesh of throwing the Education Department into disarray through their “reckless decisions.”
Reacting to the alleged use of force by the police against those protesting against the shifting of the Government Tribal Residential School at Marikavalasa in Visakhapatnam, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the crackdown was intended to suppress their voices.
Unfortunately, the police behaved rudely with the former Deputy CM, P. Pushpa Sreevani, as she spearheaded the protests along with other leaders, and placed some of them under house arrest, he said.
The YSRCP chief said parents of students and tribal organisations had been protesting against the shifting of the school since August 20, but the government lacked the patience to at least listen to their objections.
