Until now, the government had not officially disclosed their identities despite reports of military casualties during the four-day conflict in May 2025.Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, in which 26 civilians were killed.During the operation, India carried out strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir before successfully thwarting retaliatory drone, missile and cross-border attacks on its military installations.
