Govt. requests Payment Revision Commission to expedite its report and recommendations
The state government has requested the Payment Revision Commission to expedite its report on employee pay and benefits. Additionally, a committee will be formed to evaluate the potential transition from the Contributory Pension Scheme back to the Old Pension Scheme.

The State government has positively responded to the demands raised by the employees. The government has asked the Payment Revision Commission headed by retired IAS officer N. Shiva Shankar to submit its report along with recommendations at the earliest so that a decision can be taken on them. The government has also decided to constitute a committee to study the demand for scrapping the Contributory Pension Scheme and reintroducing the Old Pension Scheme.
The committee would consist experts in payment revision affairs, senior officers and employees representatives as members and it would be asked to study various aspects associated with the CPS and suggest measures.
