Government and private hospitals should report admissions of accident victims to the eDAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) portal within 24 to 48 hours to help them avail cashless treatment under the Prime Minister-Road Accident Victims Hospitalization and Assured Treatment (PM-RAHAT) scheme, District Health and Family Welfare Officer H.R. Thimmaiah said.
Speaking at a PM-RAHAT scheme awareness workshop on Wednesday at the RAPCC auditorium in Mangaluru, Dr. Thimmaiah said the scheme provides free treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh for accident victims in hospitals for a period of seven days from the date of the accident.
