Govt. law college in Ramanathapuram holds first graduation ceremony

The Government Law College in Ramanathapuram celebrated its first graduation ceremony on Saturday.

A total of 237 graduates who successfully completed their legal education received their degrees during the ceremony, which was jointly presided over by Madras High Court Judge Justice R. Poornima and Minister for Energy Resources and Law C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Nirmal Kumar highlighted the State government’s ongoing efforts to enhance basic and hostel facilities across all government law colleges in Tamil Nadu, while ensuring that official graduation ceremonies were systematically conducted for passing-out batches.

Detailing broader judicial reforms, the Minister announced that structural enhancements were under way to strengthen courtroom infrastructure across the State. Key initiatives included specialised courts, administrative appointments, integrated court complex in Chennai and technological modernisation, among others.
