Govt. failed to weather El Nino effect despite opportunities: KTR

BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao has accused the Congress government in Telangana of failing to manage drought conditions caused by the El Nino effect. He further criticized the administration for unfulfilled job promises and alleged political instability within the ruling party.
Why it matters
The critique underscores the ongoing political rivalry in Telangana and the pressure on the government to address agricultural crises and employment.
Working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao alleged that the Congress government has completely failed in weathering the drought conditions this season caused by the El Nino effect, despite the weather scientists forewarning.
Speaking at a meeting at the party office here on Monday to admit a businessman from Banswada constituency Moril Srinivas Rao into BRS, he said the government did not respond to the forecasts and holding a meeting now would not have any positive impact for the farming community as water levels in most of the reservoirs were around or below dead storage, while the government actions were in cold storage.
