Employees, teachers and pensioners across Andhra Pradesh staged protests during the lunch break on Thursday as part of the ‘Demands Day’ agitation, seeking immediate resolution of their long-pending financial issues.
The protests were organised at district and divisional offices and Heads of Department (HoD) offices across the State, following a call by the Andhra Pradesh JAC Amaravati State Committee.
The APJAC Amaravati leaders urged the government to immediately hold talks with the employee unions and announce a clear, time-bound action plan to resolve the pending issues. They warned that if the government continued to delay action, employees would be compelled to intensify their agitation.
APJAC Amaravati State Chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and Secretary General Palisetti Damodara Rao said the response to the third day of the protest programme was encouraging.
