For almost 10 years, Uganda's Parliament has consistently highlighted the declining state of Soroti Hospital during discussions on the national health budget and government accountability, and legislators have called for allocation of funds to improve the facility's outdated infrastructure.
Despite repeated government assurances and plans for redevelopment, the hospital continues to function in outdated facilities.
