The Telangana government constituted a 26-member State-level Expert Committee, headed by State Planning Board Vice-Chairman G. Chinna Reddy, to assess the likely impact of the El Nino phenomenon on the State and recommend measures to mitigate its effects.
According to the G.O. issued by the government, the committee comprises senior officials from various government departments and has been tasked with conducting a comprehensive study on the potential consequences of El Nino across sectors.
