Minister for Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy said the State government has embarked on fast-tracking road and transport infrastructure projects in Annamayya district, with top priority on quality and safety standards.

The Minister reviewed the department’s ongoing works at Rayachoti in Annamayya district on Saturday and directed the officials to complete sanctioned projects within deadlines and resolve bottlenecks related to tenders, land acquisition and pending bills.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy said that Annamayya district has 2,042 km of State highways, major district roads and other rural roads. Officials said that 81 sanctioned road works had already been initiated in the district, while payments relating to completed works were pending. Responding to the issue, the Minister directed officials to expedite bill clearances and commence pending projects immediately.
