Government Medical College (GMC) in Jagtial has sought the intervention of the local MLA to incorporate several infrastructure modifications in the proposed campus plans, warning that the existing blueprints fall short of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and university requirements, and could affect the institution’s academic and operational functioning.
In a letter addressed to Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday, the college principal requested that the Roads and Buildings Department be directed to revise the architectural plans for the new medical college and hostels. “A review of the proposed blueprints has identified critical infrastructural gaps that require immediate attention before construction progresses further,” the principal said.
