Why it matters
Practical science education is essential for fostering innovation and scientific temper among rural students in India.
Science experiment kits are being provided to students of government school to encourage experiential learning and nurture a scientific outlook, said NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha.
Distributing the kits, called Geni kits, to students during a programme held at CVR Municipal High School in Vijayawada on Tuesday, Mr. Lakshmisha said that the science kits would help rural students develop interest in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology through practical learning and innovation, with laboratories already available in schools,
The Collector highlighted that this was one of the innovative initiatives implemented by the State government to improve school education and urged students to make the best use of the facilities and opportunities provided by the government.
