Google starts bringing AirDrop Quick Share support to older Pixels

Google is expanding support for cross-platform Quick Share/AirDrop functionality to older Pixel devices, including the Pixel 7 and 8 series. While some users have reported receiving notifications, the rollout appears to be in a phased, potentially buggy stage.

On the Pixel front, that’s included phones from the Pixel 8a on up, but earlier today we learned of a possible expansion to the Pixel Tablet. We’re now also getting reports of Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 users seeing notifications of this new support.
