Google Play Is Expanding Age Confirmation Tools For App Developers

Google is rolling out its Age Signals API globally to help app developers verify user age ranges without requiring specific birthdates. The tool, which integrates with Google Family Link, aims to provide age-appropriate experiences while maintaining user privacy.

The platform it's adopting is called the Google Play Age Signals API. The tool is currently being tested in Brazil, and it will arrive in Australia and Canada in mid-August ahead of a global rollout later in the year.
