Google Pics Rolls Out to Workspace With Default
Google has integrated its new AI-powered image generation and editing tool, Google Pics, into its Workspace suite for business users. The feature is enabled by default for many organizations, prompting IT teams to review governance policies before the rollout completes.

Google Pics began rolling out to eligible Google Workspace customers on September 1, bringing Gemini-powered image generation and object-level editing to business users. Because the service is enabled by default for qualifying organizations, IT teams may need to review access and content-governance policies before it reaches users across the business.
Google’s September 1 rollout announcement says Rapid Release domains started receiving Pics that day, with visibility taking up to 15 days. Scheduled Release domains begin rolling out September 15 on the same gradual schedule.
For business customers, Pics is available with Business Standard and Business Plus, along with Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus. Google AI Pro for Education and AI Expanded Access are also eligible, according to Google’s Pics availability documentation . Business Starter is not listed among supported Workspace editions.
