Police say evidence in the search for an 80-year-old woman missing in Golden Bay points to her “having entered the water and not made it back to land”.
Natalie, 80, was reported missing from her residence in Pōhara, Golden Bay, on Monday, July 6 and was last seen wearing a woollen hooded jersey and black sneakers.
“Police are keeping an open mind; however, the evidence to date points to Natalie having entered the water and not made it back to land,” police said.
“Police continue to encourage residents to remain vigilant and to keep an eye out for any items of clothing worn by Natalie, as seen in the attached image.”

Police confirmed last week that the search had moved to a “limited search phase”.
