The Ramanathapuram district police recovered 48.75 sovereigns of gold jewellery and arrested a man in Pudukottai on Friday. Police said that following a complaint from Boomadevi, a case was registered. Investigations revealed that a person identified as Senthilkumar of Pudukottai was involved in the crime. A team arrested the suspect and recovered the entire stolen gold from him. The complaint was lodged on June 19 and the team swiftly recovered the valuables within a short span. Superintendent of Police G Chandeesh appreciated the special team and handed over the property to the rightful owner.
