Gold production in Kenya dropped by 8.2 per cent to 329.1 kilograms in 2025, marking a continued downward trend in the country's mining output over recent years.
Official statistics from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics reveal a steady decline in yield following a peak period earlier in the decade.
The national gold output has fluctuated significantly over the six-year period starting in 2020. In 2020, Kenya produced 149.9 kilograms of gold, a figure that nearly doubled to 291.5 kilograms in 2021.
