Unidentified individuals stole 13 sovereigns of gold jewellery, a silver lamp, and ₹80,000 from a soldier’s house in Devakottai.

Muthuraman, a native of Thillai Nagar, Devakottai, Sivaganga district, is an army soldier currently serving in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. His wife, Nishanthini, lives in the house with their two sons.

Having gone out of town, they returned home on Wednesday morning.

Upon arrival, they found the lock of the house broken and the door open and 13 sovereigns of jewellery, a silver lamp, and ₹80,000 kept in the wardrobe had been stolen.
