“If you weren’t aware because I wasn’t, you can get skin cancer or melanoma on your eyeball,” Smith shared in an update with her 111,000 followers before eye surgery on Thursday.
“I get my skin checked often for skin cancers, but I’ve never ever checked my eyeballs.”
Smith revealed it wasn’t until she returned from a work and surf trip to the Maldives, she noticed something wasn’t right.
