There was relief on Tuesday (September 29, 2026) for the islands of the Godavari in the delta and the tribal pockets along the banks of the Sabari and the Godavari in Polavaram district , when the inflow into the river began to fall. Relief operations are still under way, and boats are carrying essential commodities to tribal people affected by the floods in the Chintoor agency in Polavaram district. As many as 55 motor boats are deployed for the operations by the Chintoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency, where 17 habitations have been submerged.
