A Goa-based drug supplier, who had been absconding in a narcotics case registered in Hyderabad, has been apprehended in a joint operation by the Telangana EAGLE Force and Hyderabad police, with investigators uncovering financial transactions worth ₹48.4 lakh and identifying more than 25 persons from Telangana suspected of purchasing drugs through online payments.

The accused, Custodio Fernandes alias Kristy, a resident of Calangute in North Goa, was apprehended following sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering by the EAGLE Force, Hyderabad Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and Punjagutta police.

What began as an investigation into a drug seizure in Punjagutta in May this year has now widened into a probe into a suspected inter-State supply network involving online payments, cash deposits and associates allegedly travelling from Goa to Hyderabad to deliver narcotics.
