Goa's 'anywhere registration' reform for property documents: What it means
Goa has implemented an 'Anywhere Registration' system under the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS), allowing property documents to be registered at any sub-registrar office within a district. Property buyers and sellers in Goa can now register property-related documents at any Sub-Registrar Office within the district where the property is located, instead of being restricted to a particular registration office.The facility, called ‘Anywhere Registration within the District’, has been introduced under the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS). Goa is the third state in the country to implement the reform.The initiative was launched by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on July 29.
