Global Horticulture Hub awareness drive kicks off in Sri Sathya Sai district

As part of State government’s ambitious ₹1 lakh-crore ‘Global Horticulture Hub - Rayalaseema Rising’ initiative, the Sri Sathya Sai district has embarked on a week-long awareness programme from Monday to boost horticulture growth.
District Horticulture Officer K. Jayakumar Babu told the media that the drive would create awareness on Rayalaseema Integrated Horticulture Development Programme (RIHDP) schemes and receive applications from eligible farmers across the district.
The programme would be held at all identified Rythu Seva Kendras (RSKs). “Officials will explain various RIHDP schemes, eligibility norms, and subsidy assistance offered by the government. Applications from interested farmers will be received at RSKs itself for quick processing,” the official said.
Special officials have been appointed mandal-wise for the smooth conduct of the initiative. Officials from Horticulture, mandal agriculture, agriculture and horticulture extension, will supervise programmes and ensure information reaches every farmer.
