Thousands of people joined the online queue at 09:00 BST in the hope of securing tickets to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, which returns from 23 to 27 June after a fallow year .
Organisers confirmed last month that tickets for the weekend were at their highest price ever - £408, including a £5 booking fee per ticket - an increase of £29.50 from the last event in 2025.
Headliners have yet to be announced but organiser Emily Eavis previously said the team was "very excited" and things were "coming together really well".
Glastonbury posted on Instagram shortly after 09:40 to announce that tickets had sold out, and notified those who were in the queue.
