NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders, including Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav Das and Ratna Singh will visit Parliamentary Street Police Station at 10am on Monday to seek a date for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar, Ranka said in a post on X.“Delhi Police can give us a date for Jantar Mantar in 24 hours, or we will announce our own protest call,” CJP said, adding that Ranka, Das, Singh and other CJP leaders would visit the police station to seek permission.The move comes a day after Delhi Police detained more than 7,000 protesters across the capital as they tried to reach Jantar Mantar for a demonstration demanding the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls.CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, Ranka and Das were among those detained on Saturday.
