Gilas Women into quarters with pool play sweep

The Gilas Pilipinas women’s team joined the men’s side in the quarterfinals of the 3x3 basketball tournament after holding off Malaysia, 17-12, to sweep the pool play in the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 at the Kinjo Futo Station Square Venue on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The Nationals created the much-needed separation midway through the contest, going on a pivotal 8-2 run to take a 13-8 advantage from a 5-6 deficit early on.
