--> Gilad Erdan, the leader of Israel’s Unity party and a former ambassador to the UN, announced that the political force will end its participation in the 2026 elections. As The Jerusalem Post reports , he explained the decision by the party’s low chances of passing the electoral threshold and unsuccessful attempts to unite with other political forces.

Erdan said that support for the party he created currently does not provide a high likelihood of passing the electoral threshold. According to him, opportunities to unite with other parties in the unity bloc also did not materialize.
