Giant pandas arrive in Atlanta - WSB-TV

ATLANTA, Ga. - The giant pandas have arrived at Zoo Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News has confirmed that Ping Ping, a male, and Fu Shuang, a female, made the trip safely from China to Atlanta.

On Channel 2 Action News Sunday AM , we followed Fu Shuang and Ping Ping as they left Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and arrived at their new home at Zoo Atlanta.

For now, they will be housed in a biosecure panda complex for a quarantine period, which will last about a month, as they get used to their new home.

Once that period is over, Ping Ping and Fu Shuang will be ready for their public debut. There is no word from zoo officials on when that will be.
