GHMC intensifies mosquito awareness drive
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has launched an intensified campaign to combat mosquito breeding across the city. Officials are urging residents to dedicate ten minutes weekly to eliminate stagnant water in their homes and surroundings to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has intensified mosquito awareness and anti-larval activities across the city and urged residents to spend 10 minutes a week checking their homes and surroundings for stagnant water to prevent its breeding and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.
GHMC Entomology teams are conducting awareness programmes and anti-larval operations in residential areas and other vulnerable locations. It has advised residents to remove stagnant water from containers, flowerpots, discarded tyres and other commonly overlooked breeding sites.
