--> The Ghana Education Service (GES) has instructed senior high schools and senior high technical schools not to deny already admitted students boarding accommodation because of the type of trunk, storage box or other container used to keep personal belongings.

As MyJoyOnline reports , GES received information that some schools were refusing to accommodate newly admitted students who brought metal trunks, wooden storage boxes or other containers that did not meet the institutions’ requirements.

The service noted that this practice could create an additional financial burden for parents and guardians. This particularly concerns families that cannot afford to purchase alternative containers or items of specific brands and types required by a particular school.
