Ghana are looking for their first points of the qualifying campaign after losing 2-0 to Côte d'Ivoire in Bouaké.
The Gambia, meanwhile, made a winning start by beating Somalia 2-1.
After the opening round, The Gambia and Côte d'Ivoire lead Group C with three points, while Ghana and Somalia have yet to register a point. The top two teams in the group qualify directly for AFCON 2027.
The match will be the first competitive meeting between the two nations. Their previous senior-level encounters were friendlies , with Ghana winning three of the four meetings and the other ending in a draw.
